Voting is a habit, not a series of one-off transactions. And at the Environmental Voter Project, we leverage the latest behavioral science to work year-round in local, state, and federal elections to turn non-voting environmentalists into consistent super-voters. To us, every election is an important behavioral intervention opportunity.

This means that the quiet, below-the-radar work that EVP does in 2021 will lead to bigger environmental turnout in 2022 and beyond.

The cutting-edge Environmental Voter Project (EVP) has identified 382,844 environmentalists in Georgia who are very unlikely to vote in the Jan. 5th U.S. Senate runoff elections.

Using behavioral science-informed messaging, we're working with thousands of volunteers to get these voters to the polls.

Early voting is crucially important, but nothing matches the impact of speaking with infrequent voters over the last few days of the Election...but we need enough volunteers to reach all of our voters.

  • Donate Your Time: Call Voters in Georgia on Giving Tuesday

    Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Tuesday, December 1st is "Giving Tuesday," the annual holiday on which tens of millions of Americans donate to support the work of nonprofits like the Environmental Voter Project.

But we remain laser-focused on a different Tuesday: Election Day. On January 5th, million of Georgians will vote in two U.S. Senate runoff elections, and the Environmental Voter Project is moving heaven and earth to make sure every single environmentalist casts a ballot.

So this year, we're asking you to donate your time for Giving Tuesday.

  • The Election Has Already Begun. November 3rd Is Just When It Ends.

    Friday, September 11, 2020

The election is on November 3rd, right?

    Well...not really.

With expanded early voting and vote-by-mail in most states, many Americans are already receiving their ballots right now, and as many as 80 million Americans could vote by the end of October.

So, in reality, the election is not on November 3rd. Rather, the election ends on November 3rd.

  • The Promise of the 19th Amendment

    Wednesday, August 26, 2020

100 years ago today, the 19th Amendment took effect after being ratified by the state of Tennessee just eight days earlier.

This was, and remains to this day, an historically important step forward in fulfilling the potential of American democracy. But we must also recognize that the suffragettes’ work was incomplete and remains unfinished.
